What to do When you don’t know what to do

Ground is typically gained in small things. One step at a time. One decision at a time. One shift in perspective at a time.

One task at a time.

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed when the responsibilities are piling up and there’s too many to-do’s in the time we have. When the things that are out of our control seem to take a piece of our hearts, leaving us feeling violated or unseen.

Sometimes, the best thing to do is just the next right thing within our reach. Taking control of what we can control is empowering, and for the believer, it’s worship. An act of faith that demonstrates our trust in the One who has all things under Him.

This was my list yesterday while I prayed for some help in areas I’m unsure of right now. In case someone needs a reminder of what it can look like to apply Psalm 37:5, this can be it.

One step at a time. One moment at a time.
